| 内容記述 | 八重山諸島の石垣島、石垣市街の中でも字ごとに発音の違いが細分化されることが古謡の伝承と現地調査によってわかった。石垣市四箇字の方言を中心に、今、消滅しつつあるといわれるこの方言から中舌高母音/ï/がなくなりつつあることと四箇字のうち字登野城においては他の字では観察された[p]音から[h]音への弱化が起こっていないことがわかったのを説明する。同時に、市内中心部でも字ごとに違う発音の細分化が保たれた文化的、社会的背景を辿るのが本稿の目的である。四箇字の古謡「ユンタ」の由来を検討してみると、集合的に四箇字の、ではなく、四つそれぞれの字を発祥の地とするユンタがある。畑仕事中に掛け合いで歌われたという性質上、地域性を強く反映するものとみなして調べた結果、この比較的小さな区域内での発音のヴァリエーションを垣間見ることができた。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | Reported here are some recent changes of the pronunciation in the Ishigaki dialect along with their social and cultural background. This study is based on the recently collected set of data from the author's fieldwork, and on the diversity found in the way old folk songs are recorded in the four main villages. In the dialect of Ishigaki city centre high central vowel /i/ is disappearing and lenition of /p/ is observed. The accent varieties are diversified and preserved in tandem with the religious, farming and singing community. | |||||
