| 内容記述 | Air service liberalization is a process of entering into air service agreements characterized by freer market access, minimal airline capacity regulation, and significantly reduced governmental controls on airline pricing. Many scholars have pointed out that air service liberalization policy improves air connectivity and air traffic growth, contributing to the country's integration into well-developed markets and greater economic development. Hence, air service liberalization has become extremely important for developing economies. Therefore, Kyrgyzstan, one of the low-income landlocked economies in CIS, has attempted to reform its international air transport by introducing some degree of air service liberalization. Through the analysis of Kyrgyzstan's case, this study examines to what extent the government has implemented the policy of air service liberalization. Moreover, the current work also identifies institutional constraints in the process of the policy implementation of the liberalization and simulates the potential impacts of the continuation of liberalization on Kyrgyzstan's air transport sector. | |||||
