| 内容記述 | パウロの倫理思想に関する従来の研究は、彼の人間論、共同体論(教会論)、宇宙論、黙示思想的終末論を個々に取りあげ、終末論と倫理との不可分の関係も考察してきた。しかし、神学と倫理の区別、個人に特化した倫理観、神と自然(宇宙)を区別する存在論的二元論の影響のために、人間論、共同体論(教会論)、あるいは宇宙論のどれかひとつに傾倒し、それら各論が重層的な関係のなかで展開していることに十分な注意を払うことができなかった。この研究状況において、1コリント書は、人間論的、共同体論的、宇宙論的関心が顕著であり、それらが黙示思想的終末論に基づいて展開しており、重要なテキストである。今後、この書簡を中心に考察を行い、何がパウロの倫理思想において本質的な原理として機能しているかを解明する。その際、古代の病因学に関する思索や観察(ヒッポクラテス、エンペドクレス、プラトン、ヘレニズム哲学者、ガレノスなど)は、人、共同体、自然(宇宙)の三つの文脈の重層性と相互影響を吟味する上で示唆に富み、有益である。 | |||||||||||

| 内容記述 | Previous studies on Paul's moral reasoning have discussed his anthropology, communalism (ecclesiology), cosmology, and apocalyptic eschatology, and these works have examined the inseparable relationship between eschatology and ethics in Paul's moral reasoning. However, scholars have tended to separate theology from ethics, interpreting Paul's moral reasoning only in terms of the individual and understanding the ancient world from the viewpoint of ontological dualism, which makes a clear distinction between God and the world/the cosmos. Therefore, they have failed to pay due attention to the three interconnected contexts of Paul's moral reasoning: the individual, the community, and the cosmos. This study argues that 1 Corinthians is the best text to examine in understanding these three interconnected contexts of Paul's moral reasoning and, moreover, that the ancient etiological arguments found in Hippocrates, Empedocles, Plato, the Hellenistic philosophers, Galen, and others are helpful and heuristic in clarifying the logic of Paul's moral reasoning. | |||||||||||
