| 内容記述 | 本小論は、ロマ7:7-25の「わたし」はキリスト信仰者であり、今なお律法遵守に関して苦悩していることを論じる。従来、この苦悩は「律法の要求に対する意志による同意」と「行為によるそれへの違反」との齟齬に由来し、「わたし」は自己分裂に陥っていると解釈される傾向にある。同時に、この苦悩は「良心の呵責」や「内省的良心」という実存的課題として評価されてきた。しかし、紀元後50年代後半に執筆されたロマ書を、啓蒙主義以降の近代の人間観のみから解釈することは慎重であるべきである。本小論は、紀元後1世紀のユダヤ社会が享受していた黙示的終末論とそれに基づく人間観、特に霊肉二元論と終末論的緊張関係(「すでに」と「まだ」)の観点から該当テキストに検討を加える。この考察を通して、パウロの倫理的言説に関してしばしば見落とされてきた、宇宙論的次元の役割が明らかになるだろう。すなわち、そこには、人間の心理的事象だけでは捉えきれない、終末論的緊張に満ちた、相反する勢力の戦い(霊vs 肉)があるのである。 | |||||||||||

| 内容記述 | This article argues that the 'I' in Rom 7:7-25 is a Christian and that he/she still struggles to observe the law. Previous studies have been inclined to regard the struggle with anguish as a phenomenon of a divided self, in other words, the conflict between "the self of the intent to agree with the law" and "the conduct against the intent." Also, this struggle has been evaluated as showing "a pang of conscience," or "introspective conscience." However, we should refrain from understanding the text, which was written about 50 CE, only in light of post-Enlightenment modern anthropology. This article investigates the text in light of apocalyptic eschatology in ancient Judaism, in particular dualism of the spirit and flesh with the eschatological tension between "already" and "not yet." This investigation will demonstrate the role of the cosmological dimension in Paul's moral reasoning, a dimension to which the previous studies have not paid full attention. In moral reasoning, there is, along with the eschatological tension, a conflict between the opposing cosmological forces(spirit vs flesh), a conflict that we cannot explicate only in light of human psychological phenomena. | |||||||||||
