| 内容記述 | 本稿では，福島第一原子力発電所事故直後の『毎日新聞』の報道を分析し，原発に最も近い場所にいた福島県の支局記者たちがどのような取材を行い，それがどのように紙面に反映されたのかを明らかにする。そのことを通じて，事故直後の報道の特異性を浮かび上がらせると同時に，巨大災害直後の記者活動の構造的な制約条件の一端を明らかにすることが本稿の目的である。分析方法としては，①署名記事に着目して毎日新聞社の福島県の支局記者を割り出す，②それらの記者の記事が東京本社版と地方版福島面に掲載された本数などを明らかにする，③記事における情報源を特定し，分類する--という作業を行った。この分析の結果，以下の2点が明らかとなった。第一には，東京本社版に掲載された福島県の支局からの記事の本数が少量ということである。第二には，地方版でも他県の支局や東京本社記者による記事が署名付きで掲載されており，必ずしも福島県の支局記者が事故の状況を真っ先に報じていたのではないことである。福島第一原発は福島県にありながら，県の支局記者が現場で得られる事故の情報は極めて限定的だった。この点に原発事故報道の特異性を見出すことができると同時に，記者活動を制約する構造的条件の一端を見出すことができる。 | |||||||||||

| 内容記述 | This study aims to determine the characteristics of the press coverage of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster in 2011, and the structural constraints surrounding journalists reporting major disasters. The study involves an analysis of articles signatured by reporters at the Fukushima office of the national newspaper, Mainichi Shimbun, immediately after the accident at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. The print articles were analyzed through the following steps : (1) Identifying the reporters working for the Fukushima office of the national newspaper, (2) Calculating the number of articles written by local reporters according to the pages, national or local, where the articles appeared, and (3) Identifying the news sources of the articles and classifying them. This study demonstrated that the number of articles written by local reporters and printed on national pages were considerably limited, and that the aftermath of the disasters were covered not only by local reporters, but also their counterparts working at the Tokyo headquarters. The journalists working close to the site where the nuclear accident took place managed to acquire very limited information, compared to those working in the metropolitan area. This can be attributed to the structural constraints faced by journalists during the coverage of such major disasters, as they have to rely on information from Tokyo where major news sources, including government offices and the headquarters of major private companies, are concentrated. | |||||||||||
