| 内容記述 | 本稿では、自由廃業運動の初期の頃の救世軍の日英関係に着目し、同運動における意思決定の経緯や役割分担について明らかにするため、イギリスの救世軍万国本営が発行していた４つの機関誌の日本関係記事を日本側の史料と照らし合わせて検証した。イギリスから来日した救世軍の司令官が日本での婦人救済所設置を決めた背景として、同司令官が来日前に深く関与したセイロン島では、すでに救世軍が婦人救済所を設置していたことを明らかにした。 | |||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | In this thesis, I examine articles from the salvation army publications on Japanese free cessation movement (Jiyu Haigyo Undo) in four bulletins from the salvation army international headquarters in Britain compared with articles in the Japanese War Cry to make it clear how relationships and the division of the roles between the British and the Japanese salvation army were, and who governed decision-making in free cessation movement in the early period. Here, I will also show that the historical background of the establishment of the Japanese first rescue home for women by the salvation army was the same kind of experiences as in Ceylon. | |||||||||||||
