| 内容記述 | ファーラービー(d.950)、イブン・シーナー(d.1037)によってアラブ・イスラーム化されたギリシアの哲学を咀嚼し、それぞれイスラーム教とユダヤ教の伝統的な教学を革新したアブー・ハーミド・ガザーリー(d.1111)とマイモニデス(d.1204)の間に影響関係が存在した可能性は、これまでも国内外の研究者から示唆されてきた。しかし両者の信仰論に関する具体的な比較研究は十分に行われていない。本稿では、ガザーリーとマイモニデスが共通して取り組んだ神学的課題の一つである、信仰論における「悔悟」(tawba/těšûbâ)の義務論を比較する。その際、悔悟の義務性を根拠づける前提の議論において、人間の自由意思論や罪の認識論、さらには信仰論を基礎付ける知識論という題材を両者が共有していることを指摘する。ただし、同一の認識論的題材から等しく悔悟の義務性を導き出す両者が、自由意思の捉え方において決定的な違いを示しており、信仰論の理論的基盤が明白に異なることを指摘する。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | The influence of Abū Ḥāmid al-Ghazālī (d.1111) on Maimonides (d.1204) has been explored by some researchers. However, there is scant research comparing the former's theory of faith with the latter's. Both men were influenced by Greek philosophy which Ibn Sīnā (d.1037) and al-Fārābī (d.950) introduced into Arabic. In this thesis, I compare al-Ghazālī's theory of repentance (tawba) with Maimonides's (těšûbâ). I then show that both have an interest in human free will and the recognition of sin as the basis for an obligation to repent. Moreover, I demonstrate that al-Ghazālī's perception of free will is different from that of Maimonides despite their sharing fundamental concepts of free will and repentance. This also indicates that they have interpreted the same philosophical concepts in the field of traditional religious studies differently. | |||||
