| 内容記述 | 本研究は、ブロードウェイ・ミュージカル『ウィキッド』とその女性ファンたちがオンライン上に作り出しているファン・カルチャーに焦点を当て、そこで繰り広げられる自己表現や交流が女性ファンたちの自己形成とどのように関わっているかを考察する。そして、これらのファン・コミュニティで参与観察を行い、『ウィキッド』のファン・カルチャーは、女性たちが自身の自立や自由を考え、語り合い、互いをエンパワーする場となっていることを明らかにする。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | In this project, I explore how young female fans engage in the "participatory culture" of the Broadway musical, Wicked, through the Internet and how they collaborate with each other to construct alternative language for discovering and re-discovering their gendered selves. To explore my research question, I participate in fan communities on websites and blogs, and observe fans' conversations, exchanges of information, and their creative art works. These Internet fan communities are acting as a forum with alternative language to discuss gender issues and help women discover and re-discover who they really are. | |||||
