| 内容記述 | 映像理解に関する認知心理学的研究の中で,基本的な出来事を単位とした形で映像をセグメンテーションするプロセスが注目されている.ある程度の幅をもった時間内の変化と定義される出来事をベースとして環境における情報が知覚されていることは,人間の行動を理解する上で有用な手がかりとなりうる.Newtson(1973)による単純なボタン押し課題によるセグメンテーションに関する先行研究において,映像内の人物や物体の運動といった知覚的変化だけでなく,因果関係や目標の変化といった概念的変化もセグメンテーションを生起させる要因に含まれることが明らかにされてきた.現代の文化において映像は中心的な位置を占めており,映像理解の認知的メカニズムの解明は,人間と文化の関わりを考える上で重要なトピックとなっている. | |||||||||||

| 内容記述 | There has been a growing interest in the cognitive process that segments a film based on the events. An event can be defined as a change within a particular time frame. How the information about the environment is perceived based on the events may reveal important cues about human behavior. Previous works using the experimental paradigm developed by Newton (1973) have shown that conceptual changes such as causal relations and goals may elicit the segmentation process as well as perceptual changes. Investigating the cognitive mechanisms of film understanding is necessary to appreciate how we understand our culture. | |||||||||||
