"家族造形法は家族療法の一技法として開発されたものであり,これまで経験的には臨床的意義が認められてきているものの,体験的技法であるがゆえに,その特徴を伝えることが難しいという側面を持っている。そのため,とくにわが国においては家族造形法の利用はそれを知る一部の者に限られ,実証的研究もほとんど行われてこなかった。そこで,本研究はそうした家族造形法の基礎的研究として,造形に表現される空間的距離が,質問紙によって測定される心理的距離とどのような関係にあるのかを検討することを目的とした。女子大学生20名に自分の立ち位置から見て両親役の実験者を適切な距離に配置し,姿勢やポーズなども含めて制作する造形を行うよう求めた。その二者間の空間的距離と,三者で形成される面積とが質問紙による親子の心理的距離,両親間葛藤の認知,家族機能測定尺度による凝集性,適応性とどのように関連するのかを検討した。その結果,対母親,対父親の二者関係における造形による空間的距離と心理的距離との相関は,父親のみで有意であった。また,夫婦間の空間的距離が離れているほど,子どもである参加者が評定した両親間葛藤認知尺度の深刻さが低かった。これらの結果について造形における距離の特徴に関する議論がなされた。",
