| 内容記述 | 本研究は、ネパールにおける母子保健の問題について、地域比較研究を行ったものである。ネパールがいまだ、健康レベル、ことに母子保健において世界でも最低の状況にあるのは何故なのか。本研究では、このような問題意識を発端として、ネパールの自然環境のあまりに多様な点に原因を求めた。母子保健の現状を状況の異なる地域ごとに比較することで何かの地域的特徴が発見できると考え、地域比較分類を行った。ネパールの地勢分類である山岳部、丘陵部、タライ平野部を利用するとともに、「保健医療施設へのアクセス」に影響を与えると考えられる道路状況を考慮した「道路インフラ分類」を作成し、この2タイプの分類でそれぞれ地域比較を行った。また、「母親の教育年数」の違いが保健指標に与える影響を地域比較の視点とした。この結果、道路インフラ分類の利用可能性と、道路の乏しい地域での教育の影響を発見することができた。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | This research is a comparative analysis on the state of Nepal's maternal and child health in a regional level. The research is initiated with the question on why Nepal's health situation, especially for maternal and child health remains at a relatively worse level in the world, and attempts to explain the problem from the distinctive natural diversity of Nepal. The study analyzes the health situation of Nepal in regional basis to find regional characteristics that could affect the maternal health care. Types of regional classification used in this research are ecological zone types generally used in Nepal, and original classification on the types and (amount) extent of road network that could be one of the influencing factors on the access and use of health facilities. Thus, this research analyzes each of the above two types of situation applicable to a region. Regression analysis was used in this research, and mother's educational level was used as independent variable to compare regional differences on health indices. The study finds that the classification on `road infrastructure network' can be applied to study the regional difference of health problems in Nepal. Secondly it also finds that there exists a relatively strong effect of education on improving health indices in the areas where there is a lack of road infrastructure network. | |||||
