"本稿は、欧州統合に関する研究において注目されている欧州化概念について、現在まで蓄積されてきた研究成果に基づく一定の見取り図を提供することを目ざしている。まず、欧州化概念をめぐる議論の状況を踏まえ、この概念を使ってこれまでどのような分野が研究の対象となってきたのか概観する。次いで、加盟国の国内政治に対するEUからのインパクトの増大という状況を受けて登場した欧州化概念の発展を踏まえた上で、この概念をめぐって非常に重要であるがいまだに解決を見ていない問題、すなわち、欧州化の定義の問題について検討する。そして、欧州化に関する代表的アプローチとして、ヨーロッパ・レヴェルに対する国家レヴェルの適合度に注目するトップ・ダウン型欧州化、2つのレヴェルの間の相互作用に注目する双方向型欧州化、OMC(開放的調整手法)のようなヨーロッパ・レヴェルを介在した国家間の相互作用に注目する水平的移転型欧州化の3つのアプローチが検討される。その上で、欧州化のメカニズム、類型、対象と帰結について検討し、ヨーロッパのガヴァナンスを分析する概念として、欧州化が直面する課題と今後の発展について展望がなされる。",
