This paper considers the ideal form of workplace experience essential in career and citizenship education. We used the \"Special Activities\" and \"the Period for Integrated Studies\" indicated in the junior high school course of study as clues. When conducting workplace experience as an activity during \"the Period for Integrated Studies\", it is necessary to position the workplace experience not as a mere experiential activity but as an exploratory learning process. In career education as a \"Special Activity\", it is essential to acquire the ability to live better in a group through workplace experience. On the other hand, workplace experience as \"the Period for Integrated Studies\" is required to transform into the \"economic activity\" of citizenship education, which focuses on exploring a better society. In this paper, we analyzed the issues of workplace experience learning through the \"Program for Students Who Will Inherit the Future\" conducted by Kyoto Prefectural Board of Education and clarified one strategy for realizing \"economic activity\" in citizenship education in
