The key to success is a rover. A small and lightweight rover that can withstand the harsh lunar environment, such as low gravity, severe temperature differences and regolith deposition, is in need at a low cost. This study proposes a rover that incorporates an eccentric drive of wheels to improve its running performance on the soft ground of the Moon. By eccentering the wheels, which are said to have a limit to the angle of climbing, the rover was able to climb a steep slope with low power
