| 内容記述 | ニッターは、宗教間対話の発展に長期にわたって携わり、その過程で、対話に関する理論的理解を変遷させてきた。本研究では、2002年までの著作を用いて、ニッターの対話に関する理解の変遷が、神に関する理解の変遷を伴っていることを、時系列的に明らかにしようと試みる。すなわちニッターは、対話をめぐり、神中心主義に始まって救済中心主義へと議論を進め、対話の受容モデルを述べた。それに並行して、神に関する理解も変遷させ、究極的存在を想定することから、神の他者性に着目することへと立場を変えていった。その変遷過程でニッターは、人間や環境の幸福を妨げる苦しみからの解放を諸宗教に共通課題であるとみなして、その解決のための実践的協力を重視し、その協力の中で対話することを訴えた。しかし、何が解放であるのかについてもまた対話の中で探求するといっても、その探求のために、どのように公共の中で対話を進めるのかについてまでニッターは議論を広げられているとはいえない。 | |||||||||||

| 内容記述 | Paul F. Knitter has engaged in interfaith dialogue for several decades, and during this time he has changed his views several times. This article clarifies that these changes accompanied the development of his understanding of God by analyzing Knitter's articles up to 2002. At first, he proposed "Theocentrism" in his dialogue and then started to advocate "soteriocentrism," which was followed by the "acceptance model." In parallel, he changed his position on God from assuming an "ultimate Reality" behind religions to emphasizing the otherness of God. During this transition, he emphasized the relief of human beings and ecological beings from suffering and called all religious people to work together toward this end in the same world. Even though he explores what relief or liberation is in the dialogue, he does not determine what it is among religions in society. At the least, he should have considered how to conduct this dialogue in the public sphere. | |||||||||||
