| 内容記述 | 本研究では日本のSTEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)分野の高等教育分野における留学の意義に焦点を当てる。学生のglobal competenceの習得感の観点から日本のSTEM分野の高等教育のどの段階で留学がより有用であるのかについて検討することにする。具体的には，次の2点を課題に設定する。第一に「グローバル・コンピテンシー」(GC)の習得感について，STEM系と人文・社会科学系の共通点・相違点を最新のデータを用いて比較し考察することである。第二に，特にSTEM系に焦点を当て，留学経験の程度の差によってGCの習得感に差があるのかを明らかにすることである。これらを踏まえ，STEM分野の留学経験がGC習得において有用であるかについて，STEM分野の特性を踏まえて総合的に考察する。 | |||||||||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | This study will focus on the significance of study abroad in the field of STEM higher education in Japan. We will examine at what stage of STEM higher education in Japan study abroad is more useful in terms of students' sense of global competence acquisition. Specifically, we will focus on the following two issues. First, we will compare and contrast the similarities and differences between STEM fields and the humanities and social sciences in terms of the sense of mastery of "global competencies" (GC) using the latest data. Second, focusing on STEM fields in particular, we will clarify whether there is a difference in the sense of mastery of GCs depending on the degree of study abroad experience. Based on these findings, we will comprehensively examine whether study abroad experience in STEM fields is useful for GC acquisition, taking into account the characteristics of STEM fields. | |||||||||||||||||||
