High physical fitness group (n = 15, 9 men and 6 women) and low physical fitness group (n = 16, 9 men and 7 women) participated in this study. Concerning muscle quantity indices, significant differences between groups were observed in both methods. However, concerning muscle quality indices, only ultrasound (echo intensity) detected a significant difference.
