Chapter 1 gives an overview of the characteristics and living conditions of remote islands, and summarizes the focus of landmark commodity on remote islands. In the second chapter, the tap water in Izu Oshima is taken up. We clarified the actual situation of water life and its transformation before and after its appearance, and verify the possibility that tap water from Izu Oshima will be positioned as a Landmark Commodity. Through this paper, not only was tap water from Izu Oshima positioned as a landmark product, but it also shows the promise of research on landmark products (that is, research on \"Regional Product History\") from a regional
