Based on these historical cases, researchers under modern Japanese science and technology policy will need to reconsider their freedom of research. If the investor of the research fund is war-oriented, can the researcher refuse the research related to the war? In the truest sense, if one wants to reject military research, each researcher must always be concerned about how their research results are applied and have a voice in their research results. If that doesn't happen, we need to find a way to report the results to the public in an easy-to-understand manner. When reporting, consider not only the merits of the research results but also the risks, and devise ways to raise public opinion on how to manage the research results.
