University students greatly change their eating behavior when they start living away from family home. Establishing healthy eating behavior leads to good physical and mental health, and fulfilling university life. The purpose of this study was to promote healthy eating behavior by clarifying factors influencing the eating behavior of university students. Qualitative research method based on interviews with 23 university students from four universities in Kyoto was conducted.
