 note = {平重衡は、平清盛と平時子の三男で、かつ、清盛の末子である。平家が後白河上皇の信頼を得て、栄華を極める過程の中で育ち、父清盛の死後４年で滅びていく栄枯盛衰を目の当たりにした彼は、歴史上では、奈良の東大寺を焼き払った大将として、仏罰を背負う。『平家物語』において、罪も無い多くの人々を焼き殺し、大仏を溶かしてしまった極悪人としてのみ描くことも可能であったのに、生け捕りにされた後の彼は女性にもてる男性として描かれている事に関し、『平家物語』諸本及び『安元御賀記』等を用いて、人物像を考察した。, Taira no Shigehira is the third son of Taira no Kiyomori and Taira no Tokiko, and is the Kiyomori's last son. He saw the Heike grow up in a glorious state with the trust of Goshirakawa-In, and to perish four years after his father Kiyomori's death. In history, he carries the Punishment of the Buddha as a general who burned down Todaiji Temple in Nara. In The Tale of heike, it was possible to paint only as a villain who burned down many innocent people and melted the Great Buddha. But he is portrayed as a man loved by many women after being caught alive. Why is that?
