Convenience store is one of typical large-scale retails that symbolize the change from business category store to business status store in Japan. The purpose of this paper is to consider historically about CVS from the analysis optic angle of the Commodity History. Chapter 1 makes the current state of CVS in Japan clear and surveys management strategies of CVS. Chapter 2 clarifies the historical process by which CVS was introduced into Japan and spread.
