Several studies have demonstrated that his original and theological interests had an influence on this editing, although it originally needed philological and historical procedures. This fact leads us to question the way in which this work was edited. Therefore, I analyze the requirements for the selection of works. Then, I examine the reason why the revision of  texts was approved. It followed that it is difficult to precisely determine Harnack's original and theological interests in this editing. Concerning his influence on this editing, it is important to point out his activity in making plans to assign partial works to the appropriate researchers and his drafting of attractive proposals to obtain funds from the
