This study summarizes and analyzes the trend of research on white-collar in and after 2000. The result of this study suggests that while researches on individual occupation, such as social hierarchy research, have been continued since the 1950s and subsequent researches have been fostered, the corporate research by Ototaka and many other sociologists of the same period and vocational research by peer associations and artisan groups have gradually declined. On the other hand, research on how white-collar workers and professionals work is often extensive research using careful fieldwork and various methods, and it can be said that the content of the research is
