Christian Zionists exist not only in the West but also in Japan. Juji Nakada (1870-1939), one of the founders of Japan Holiness Church, was deeply interested in Jewish people and became Zionistic after 1932. He asserted that Israel would be restored in the end times and that Japan would play a role to help them militarily and religiously. In this paper, Nakada's thoughts will be studied as one case of Christian Zionism in Japan. Though Nakada appreciated the Jewish people's significance in salvation history, his eschatological expectations toward them may have influenced his multi-faceted understanding of the Jewish people. As a result, even though he criticized anti-Semitism, Nakada unwittingly leaned towards anti-Semitism. Finally, we will discuss the reason why Christian Zionism is supported by some Christians, and the problematic nature of their
