| 内容記述 | 本稿では、タイが「中所得の罠」に陥っている要因の一つとして、一人当たり所得の上昇に見合った人的資本の形成が遅れている点を指摘した。タイ政府が掲げる「タイランド4.0」構想は、これまでの工業化過程と同様に、日本企業をはじめとする外国企業に依存しなければ実現は難しいと考えられる。産業の高度化を目指すタイにとって、教育の質、とりわけ農村における学校教育の質の改善が急務である。 | |||||||||||

| 内容記述 | In this study, it is pointed out that Thailand is considered to be lag behind other middle-income economies, in terms of human capital accumulation. This would be one of the reasons Thailand is caught in the middle-income trap. The Thailand 4.0 scheme proposed by the government intends the shift from a resource-based economy toward a high-value added one. However, Thailand would have difficulties in accomplishing this scheme without the help and cooperation from foreign companies including Japanese ones. It would be an urgent task for Thailand to raise the quality of education, especially in rural areas if Thailand pursues the industrial advances. | |||||||||||
