Many Japanese companies did a huge investment in the PDP industry which doesn't have a long life span by a wrong industrial prediction in display device industry. By an interview to engineers, I made it clear about the influence of "engineer's groupthink-like judgement" on predictions of limits in the technological field. A possibility about the existence of "groupthink in a professional collective" peculiar to engineers was confirmed.
