| 内容記述 | 本研究は，M字型カーブの解消と「男性稼ぎ主モデル」から離脱の関係についての理解を深めることを目的として，欧米・南欧・東アジア10カ国の男女の就業実態をOECD統計データから分析した。得られた結果は次の2点である。第一に，M字解消済みの6カ国は，その10年後の男女の働き方に「男女フルタイム就業型」と「女性パートタイム就業型」という，異なる２つの形態がみられた。第二に，南欧・東アジア諸国は「男女フルタイム就業型」に近いスペイン・韓国と，「女性パートタイム就業型」にあてはまる日本，そして明確な位置づけがむずかしいイタリアに類型された。さらに，異なる2つの型が生み出される背景について「家族政策への投資」と「理想のケアのあり方」から説明を試み，最後に日本への政策的示唆を提示した。 | |||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | This paper uses the OECD statistical data and analyses the gendered employment patterns of ten countries, including America; Western and Southern Europe; and East Asia, in an attempt to examine the relationship between the M-shaped curve and the extent and the ways in which the countries shift away from the male breadwinner model. The two main findings are: Firstly, the six countries that have overcome the M-shaped curve were divided into the two categories – 'the universal breadwinner' type and 'the work-family-balance for women' type. Secondly, Spain and South Korea were found to be close to the former, and Japan to the latter type while Italy was a harder country to locate. Moreover, the paper tries to account for why such different patterns are emerged, looking at 'public investments for family policy' and 'the ideal care in society'. It concludes with some implications for Japan. | |||||||||||||
