 note = {高齢者の生活を支えるうえで特に重要視されてきたのは，離れて暮らす別居子の存在である。本稿では，京都市右京区太秦学区に居住する中高年女性を対象に実施した質問紙調査のデータを用いて，中高年女性のパーソナル・ネットワークの実態を明らかにすることを目的としている。中高年女性と別居子との関係抽出には，分析枠組みとしてソーシャル・サポートの概念を用いた。その結果，太秦に居住する中高年女性の別居子は，男女を問わずその母親との地理的な近接性を保持し，接触頻度が高く，中高年女性，とりわけ65歳以上の高齢女性の別居子に対するサポート期待度もきわめて高い傾向にあることが明らかになった。, The purpose of this study is to investigate personal networks of middle-aged and elderly women, and explore relationships they have with their adult children living separately. More particularly, the adult children living separately from their parents have been seen to play important in supporting life of middle-aged and elderly women in Japan. We have collected data for this study through a questionnaire survey in Uzumasa district of Kyoto, Japan. There were 227 valid responses from women aged 45 to 79 years.
