 note = {本稿は，ボランティア活動への参加に関して社会学的な観点から検討を行うことを目的としている。議論はまず，ボランティア活動とは何かという概念的な問題からスタートする。ここでは，ボランティア活動が自発性，無償性，公共性などの性質をもつことを押さえたうえで，自発性と公共性の2つを軸に，ボランティア活動が利他的活動や公共的活動一般といかなる関係にあるかが整理される。次に，ボランティア活動への参加に関する経験的検討へと向かう。参加に影響する変数として本稿が特に注目するのは，人々が現在もつ社会的連帯や，過去に築かれた社会的連帯である。分析では，こうした連帯に関わる要因がボランティア活動への参加に影響を与えることが示されるとともに，連帯が参加を生み出すメカニズムについて，社会集団への愛着や社会化に着目した検討がなされる。, The purpose of this article is to consider volunteering from sociological perspective. First, the concept of volunteering is discussed. By focusing on two crucial characteristics of volunteering―spontaneity and publicity―, the conceptual relationships between altruistic activity, public activity, and volunteering are clarified. Second, through an analysis of survey data, I examine factors encouraging participation in volunteering. Analysis shows that the level of solidarity―both present and the one acquired in past―has significant effect on the current participation in volunteer activities. Finally, the mechanism linking solidarity and volunteering is considered by focusing on attachment to social groups and socialization., 論文(Article), application/pdf},
