In this study, we surveyed the parents of preschool children using 14 nursery schools in 2 prefectures. In the statistical analysis, construct validity of this scale was examined using structural equation modeling and the data of 652 parents with no missing values. As an 11-item social welfare related QOL scale, we created a 3 factor and a second-order factor model assuming “life circumstance", " respect for human rights" and "independent living" as first-order factors and “social welfare related QOL" as a second-order factor. In the result of confirmatory factor analysis, the compatibility of the model to this scale was confirmed (CFI=0.988; RMSEA=0.066).
