I excerpted representative parts related to the Catalan people and translated them into Japanese in order to make them available to other specialists for strict academic purposes. The text reveals the collective consciousness and complex mindset, as citizens of Catalonia, of the majority of Catalan warriors who voluntarily took part in the Spanish Civil War in order to defend the Second Republic against Franco's rebellion.
