As firm performance indicators, we use profits earned by the firm and the value of the firm. Then, we estimate the relationship between this magnitude of worker contribution and the level of wages. Importantly, we find that only a very small portion of the worker contribution is reflected in wage differences, in the range of 0.02–0.25%. This very faint relationship between worker contribution and wages suggests that life-time employment and seniority-based wage systems still predominate in
