Author focused the actors, gentrifiers, who were generally described as negative character in that they ran low-income residents out of the cities. In this paper however, author examined gentrifiers' social roles using interview data got by seniors who moved into a downtown Chicago. Author concluded that gentrifiers contributed to their urban communities to certain extent as author found that they were very active and participated lots of social activities including contributory
