wrote my essay from 1954,when I entered Doshisha University.The education course in which I majored,made efforts to make the best use of the academic traditions of Doshisha in daily activities.In the 1960-70s Doshisha is said to become enlarged rapidly,losing its academic traditions.The trends of grasping human beings and educational phenomena with a viewpoint of social sciences became conspicuous and as the result the Department of Education and Culture belonged to the Faculty of Social Science in 2005.I believe firmly that the essence of human beings must be studied also with the viewpoint of the
