| 内容記述 | 中国浙江省の山間部盆地に位置する貧しい農業地域であった義烏市は近年,卸売業を中核とした商業の発展および雑貨製造産業の集積を中心として大きく発展した.この経済発展は義烏モデルと称されるように,内外で大きな注目を集めている.本稿は,義烏市の経済発展の背景について産業集積論の立場から検討のうえ,次の2点が経済発展に大きく寄与したことを見出した.第1に,義烏モデルの特色は,もともと商業の伝統があった,交通ネットワークの要衝や貿易港にも近接している,といった同市に独特の要因を背景とするものである.その意味で,単純に他の農業地域の模範とすることは困難といえよう.第2に,義烏市での経済発展は市場での競争と規律づけを重視した結果であり,行政当局は市場のインフラ整備に終始のうえ卸売業の発展を側面から支えてきた. | |||||||||||

| 内容記述 | In recent years, Yiwu, a local city in Zhejiang has seen remarkable economic development and become a one of the largest wholesale markets in the world for small commodities by agglomerating small commodity manufacturing industries. This paper aims at analyzing the factors contributing to the development using the industrial agglomeration theory. We find that the Yiwu's development is mainly attributed to the following two factors. First, it is supported by its traditional commercial practices and the geographic advantage that it is close to the traffic network and a trade port named Ningbo. Secondly, the local government assisted the agglomeration of wholesale industry by developing the infrastructure required for the commercial trade. | |||||||||||
