| 内容記述 | 本研究では、三・一運動および文化統治期における朝鮮総督府の宗教政策についての分析を、非西欧系宗教と西欧系宗教との比較を用いて行なった。日本は、韓国併合および武断統治期と同様に、それぞれの宗教に対して異なった方法論を用いた。それぞれの宗教に対する政策は、同一の統治理念に依拠していたにもかかわらず、具体的な適応方法と過程において顕著な差異を見せていた。韓国人主導の宗教(仏教、儒教)に対しては、直接的に関わろうとする「あからさまな政策」であった。その一方で、宣教師中心の宗教(キリスト教)に対しては、宣教師を自らの側に引き寄せようとする「遠まわしな政策」であった。日本は、半島における植民統治支配の体制を維持するために、また「三・一運動」以降に高揚した国際世論における日本批判を和らげるために、西欧列強の象徴である宣教師と親密な関係を築かねばならなかった。このような背景のゆえに、この時期におけるキリスト教政策の方法と内容は、必然的に仏教政策や儒教政策と大きく異なっていた。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | This study, with a comparison of policies toward non-Western religion and Western religion, analyzes the religious policies of the government-general of Chosen in the period of the 1919 Independence Movement and the cultural reign. Japan applied different methods toward each religion in the same way during the period of Japanese Annexation of Korea and the military reign. Although they were derived from one identical ruling idea, the policies toward each religion differed from one another in terms of the specific application. The policies toward Buddhism and Confucianism, which were initiated by Korean people, were `direct and straightforward'since Japan intended to intervene against them. On the other hand, the policy toward Christianity, which was led by missionaries, was `indirect and euphemistic'because Japan aimed to attract missionaries into its side. Japan had to build close relationship with missionaries, the symbol of the Western Powers, not only for maintaining the colonial ruling system in the peninsula, but also for estraining the international criticism toward Japan, which mounted after the 1919 Independence Movement. Due to this background, the method and detail of the Christian policy in this period was necessarily dissimilar to those toward Buddhism and Confucianism. | |||||
