| 内容記述 | 本稿は、ジェンダー平等指数として日本で最もよく利用されているジェンダーギャップ指数(GGGI)の信頼性と課題について議論し、一つの改善策を提案した。GGGIが持つ問題点については、先行研究を基に議論した。先行研究の指摘には、同意できるものが多いが、GGGIが持っている利点である算出の容易さや継続性に配慮する必要がある。そこで、実行が容易で、過去に遡って修正することも容易な提案を行った。それは、4つの分野別指数を総合指数に統合する際に、単純平均ではなく分野別指数の標準偏差の逆数をウエイトとした加重平均を用いることである。 | |||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | This paper discusses the reliability and limitations of the Global Gender Gap Index (GGGI), which is the most widely used gender equality index in Japan, and proposes one possible improvement. The problems associated with the GGGI are examined based on previous studies. While many of the criticisms raised in the literature are valid, it is also important to consider the advantages of the GGGI, such as its ease of calculation and continuity over time. Therefore, this paper presents a proposal that is both easy to implement and allows for retrospective revision. Specifically, it suggests replacing the simple average currently used to aggregate the four subindices with a weighted average, using the inverse of the standard deviation of each subindex as weights | |||||||||||||
