| 内容記述 | イネ科植物の内生菌は、宿主植物との相互作用を通じて生態系に影響を与え、リターの分解にも影響を与える。本総説では、グラスエンドファイトがリターの化学性と分解速度に及ぼす影響に関する先行研究をレビューした。グラスエンドファイトがリターの化学性に及ぼす影響は、宿主種、グラスエンドファイトの種、調査地域によって異なった。分解速度は低下・変化しない・増加の3つの場合があり、一貫した結果は得られなかった。グラスエンドファイトがリター分解に影響を及ぼすメカニズムの解明のために、分解に関与する微生物群集に与える影響を明らかにするさらなる研究が必要である。 | |||||||||||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | Fungal endophytes of grasses affect ecosystem processes through mutualistic interactions with host plants and influence subsurface processes such as decomposition of grass litter. In this review, we summarize previous studies on the effects of grass endophytes on the chemical quality and decomposition rates of grass litter. The effects of grass endophyte on litter chemistry varied with each chemical component, depending on the grass species, the infecting grass endophyte species, and the study area, and the decomposition rates were sometimes reduced, sometimes unchanged, or sometimes increased, with no consistent results. Further research is required to determine the impact of grass endophyte mediated alterations in litter chemistry on the microbial communities that take part in decomposition. | |||||||||||||||||||||
