| 内容記述 | 産業組織論の研究においては、市場の競争形態を理論的に捉えるモデルを構築し、競争度を実証的に測る試みは関心の高い研究領域である。競争政策において企業の合併の成果を認定する際には競争度を把握することが重要になる。本稿は1990年代に大型合併が相次いだ新聞巻取紙市場の競争構造の変化に着目し、競争度を推計する理論モデルを提示されている。また推測的変動と競争度の実証的な計測を試み、合併の成否を検証する。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | In the study of industrial organization theory, it is a research area of great interest to construct a theoretical model of the competitive structure of markets and to attempt to empirically measure the degree of competition. In competition policy, it is important to understand the degree of competition when recognizing the results of corporate mergers. This paper presents a theoretical model for estimating the degree of competition by focusing on changes in the competitive structure of the newspaper market, which saw a series of large mergers in the 1990s. We also attempt to empirically measure the inferential changes and the degree of competition, and verify the success or failure of the mergers. | |||||
