| 内容記述 | イザヤ書14:9bの動詞は三人称男性単数形の完了形であるが、動詞の活用に一致する名詞が文中に言及されていない。本研究は、イザヤ書14:9–10に現れる4つの動詞の組み合わせが、死者に託宣を求めるサムエル記上28章と共通することを示すことで、イザヤ書14:9bの主語が降霊術に関連する人物であることを指摘する。また、この点から、同章9–10節が冥界内部の描写ではなく、死者に託宣を求める場面であることを確認する。この結果は13–14節の王の神格化の描写とも一致することから、4b–20節の詩文がユダ／イスラエルの王家に対する死者崇拝批判であることが明らかとなる。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | Verbs in Isaiah 14:9b are third-person masculine singular perfect forms. However, there are no nouns in this passage to fit the gender and number of these verbs. This study shows that the combination of four verbs in Isa. 14:9–10 corresponds with the acts of necromancy in 1 Samuel 28. This point suggests that the unmentioned subject of the verbs in v. 9b is the person associated with the necromancy. Based on this analysis, this study interprets the setting of vv. 9–10 as seeking an oracle from the dead. This understanding accords with the description of the deification of the king in vv. 13–14. Following this analysis, Isa. 14:4b–20 is taken as criticism of the worship of deceased members of the royal family of Judah/Israel. | |||||
