At first, by using an analogy between the agriculture and fieldwork, it was expressed that fieldwork is operated in \"non-efficiency with much waste\", usually. Next, the concept of \"social innovation\" was discussed from the viewpoint of group dynamics. And through describing a collaborative practice (te-collabo : Technology Collaboration project Kyoto and Yogyakarta, Indonesia), it was found that \"storyline\" exists on the both sides of \"sense making\" and \"the decision making\" in describing social innovation. Besides, it was examined how the result of a practical study should be described, from the psychological terms : \"introspection\" and \"re-elaboration\". Finally this paper said that \"action research\" as the methodology and \"actor-network theory\" as the theoretical discussion are important for future \"social innovation study\". In addition, it was confirmed that these prospects of the practical research and collaborative practice were related deeply with education and research activities of the Doshisha University Graduate School for Policy and Management Social Innovation Study
