His troop advanced on Yi zhou on the 23d October and was encamped in this city. On the 24th his troop began to wade across the Yalu Jiang , on the 25th got across the river. and engaged with Chinese troops. Afterthen the Chinese troops began to retreat ,the Jppanese troops chased them. Then the chief of his company was wounded, Yamaoka acted for the chief of the company. On the 26th October the Chinese troops retreated, Japanese troops chased and slaughtered them. On the 18th Novenber Japanese troops occupyed to stay in Xiu yan
