| 内容記述 | 本稿では、月次でのジニ係数によって日本の所得格差の変動を考察し、景気循環との関係について検討する。この結果、以下の4点を見出すこととなった。(1)所得格差は長期的に拡大するが、約10年強の周期で循環的に変動する。(2)景気後退には所得格差を拡大させる効果があり、景気拡張には格差を縮小させる効果がある。(3)所得格差と短期的な景気循環を表す変数との長期的関係は薄い。(4)所得格差の変動は中期的な景気循環から3〜4年遅れている。 | |||||||||||

| 内容記述 | In this paper, we consider the fluctuation of Japanese income gap using monthly Gini coefficient, and discuss the relation between the fluctuation of income gap and business cycle. Consequently, we find out the following four points. 1)The income gap is increasing for a long term, but it cyclically fluctuates at the cycle of about ten years or more. 2) Recessions have the effect of expanding the income gap, and business upturns have the effect of reducing the gap. 3) There is little long-term relation between the income gap and the variables that shows the short-term business cycle. 4) The fluctuation of the income gap is 3 or 4 years later to come than the mid-term business cycle (Juglar cycle). | |||||||||||
