I will examine a soccer club in Osaka and 4 hobby groups in China mainland society, made up of Chinese young people, in order to understand the formation and changes in their new hobby networks. To do so, I have data(CGSS2003-2006)analysis. From the data acquired from these surveys, it can be inferred that as their standard of living increases, this young group of Chinese – especially in their positive aspirations towards individualism and freedom. Also they are increasingly aspiring towards a “trust society\" that has as its base personal networks.
