But carrying out a further examination of his theory, it proves that he had approached the problem of the 'meaning' in social phenomena from the viewpoint proper to him. In this respect, we can say that Durkheim's theory overcomes positivism and is full of significant suggestions for today's sociological theory, particularly theory of action.
