日本雑貨貿易商社の転居と入居ビル ニホン ザッカ ボウエキ ショウシャ ノ テンキョ ト ニュウキョ ビル The offices that the Japan Curio Trading Co. moved to San Francisco 宇佐美, 英機 12243 ウサミ, ヒデキ 1000060273398 Usami, Hideki 60273398 DA07506019 335.4 日本雑貨貿易商社 初代伊藤忠兵衛 Japan Curio Trading Co. 本稿は、初代伊藤忠兵衛がサンフランシスコにおいて日本雑貨の輸入販売を行った日本雑貨貿易商社(後に伊藤外海組と改称)が入居していた三か所のビルを明らかにしたものである。このうち、カーニー通り支店とサター通り支店は、1880年に撮影された写真が残されているが、第4通り支店のものは現存しない。しかし、いずれの入居ビルも建物平面図が伝来し、当時の状況が明らかになった。 This article reports on three offices of the Japan Curio Trading Co., which was renamed ITO SOTOMI & Co. in San Francisco and imported Japanese goods. In the process of preparing this article, I discovered in the San Francisco Public Library some historical photographs, building maps, and city directories.
