職業調査から生活調査へ : チャールズ・ブースのセンサス批判 ショクギョウ チョウサ カラ セイカツ チョウサ エ : チャールズ ブース ノ センサス ヒハン From occupation-research to life-research : a critique of census by Charles Booth 職業調査から生活調査へ : チャールズブースのセンサス批判 50121596 DA00682465 天木, 志保美 アマキ, シホミ Amaki, Shihomi open access DA10752738 同志社社会学研究学会 Doshisha Sociological Association チャールズ・ブース 生活調査 センサス批判 Booth, Charles Life-surveys Census criticism 本論文はブースの初論文「連合王国住民の職業、1801-81」(1886, Journal of the Royal Statistical Society, Vol.49,p.314-435)を扱っている。ブースは連合王国で始まったばかりのセンサス、とりわけ職業調査を批判した。彼は職業調査の不備を指摘し、職業調査と同様生活調査の重要性を主張した。こうした検討をする中で、ブースは後の著書『ロンドン住民の生活と労働』において用いられる統計表の手がかりを得る。 This paper dealt with Booth's first paper,"Occupations of the People of the United Kingdom, 1801-81" (1886, Journal of the Royal Statistical Society, Vol.49, p.314-435). Booth criticized the Census that just had begun in the United Kingdom, especially the occupational survey. He pointed out the deficiencies in the occupational survey, and insisted it was important life survey just as occupational survey.
