(2012)による経営者能力のスコアを経営者能力の代理変数を採用した．同スコアは経営の効率性値の推定を通じて算出されるものであるため，MAスコアは企業経営における効率性から見た経営者の能力である．分析の結果，経営者の能力が高いサンプルほど，子会社保有の現金が市場で高く評価されており，12％程度のプレミアムが付与されていることが明らかになった．この結果から，有能な経営者は内部資本市場を効率的に活用しており，それを市場は好意的に評価している可能性が示唆されている． This study examines the impact of managerial ability on the market valuation of cash holdings, with a focus on Japanese firms. We use the MA-score developed by Demerjian et al. (2012), which estimates managerial efficiency based on firm-level efficiency, as the measure of managerial ability. The results show that cash held by subsidiaries is valued more highly by the market when the parent firm's managers exhibit higher ability, with an estimated premium of approximately 12%.
