中島重が率いた「社会的基督教」は、戦時下で展開された宗教思想運動であった。近衛文麿内閣の「東亜新秩序声明」を受け、『社会的基督教』誌上でも「東亜協同体」論が展開されるようになった。それは、中島が戦争の大義名分とされたこの言説に結びついたゆえだった。一方で、「東亜協同体」論で中島が主張した「新人格主義」は、竹内愛二のケースワーク論の価値基盤になったと考えられる。なぜなら、竹内ケースワーク論の主張には中島からの影響が色濃く見出されるからだ。本論の目的は、中島が主張した「新人格主義」の検証を通し、竹内ケースワーク論の価値基盤を問うことである。
The Social Christianity Movement was a wartime religious thought movement led by Shigeru Nakajima. In response to the "Touashinchitujoseimei" of the cabinet of Konoe Humimaro, a discussion of the theory of "Touakyoudoutai" unfolded in the pages of the magazine Social Christianity, a discussion that was linked to Nakajima's justifications for the war. The "new personalism" advocated by Nakajima in the context of the "Touakyoudoutai" theory seems to have become the value base of the casework theory of Aiji Takeuchi, given the pronounced influence of Nakajima that is apparent in Takeuchi's theory. The aim of this paper is to examine the value base of Takeuchi's casework theory by investigating the "new personalism" advocated by Nakajima.
